In the warm summer of August, the fishing season starts in the South China Sea, bringing excitement as fishing boats from coastal Guangdong set sail into the deep blue waters. Soon, they will return laden with lively fish and shrimp, and crabs and shellfish full of roe and meat, delivering the delicious "taste of the ocean" to countless households.
On August 26th, the "Guangdong Fresh" tasting and promotion event will kick off at the Bund in Shanghai. Fresh seafood from Guangdong will arrive within 24 hours straight from the South China Sea, providing guests with a delightful culinary experience.
Renowned chefs from Shanghai will prepare innovative dishes using Guangdong seafood as the main ingredients, including golden pomfret, spotted sea bass, red drum, oysters, and fish maw. Dishes such as golden pomfret hot pot, freshly blanched spotted sea bass, thick-cut grouper, and red drum sashimi will deliver an explosion of flavors that transport diners straight to the shores of the South China Sea.
Guangdong's marine economy has ranked first in China for 30 consecutive years. The Baijiao sea bass from Zhuhai has tender, firm flesh with few fish bones; the prawn from Zhanjiang is juicy and delicious; and the oysters from Yangjiang, grilled over charcoal with garlic and chili, offer a tender sweetness that captivates diners with each bite.

8月盛夏,南海开渔季欢腾启幕,广东沿海各地的应休渔船犁开碧波,驶向深海。不久,它们就满载着大海的慷慨馈赠——活蹦乱跳的鱼虾、膏满肉肥的蟹贝,把鲜美的“海味”送上千家万户的餐桌。
8月26日,“广东鲜品”上海品鉴推介活动将在上海外滩开启。广东海鲜将在24小时内,从南海直达上海,为活动嘉宾带来舌尖上的美味鲜甜。
上海名厨将现场以金鲳、花鲈、章红、生蚝、花胶等广东海鲜为原料烹饪出创新菜肴。金鲳鱼火锅、花鲈鱼鲜烫、石斑鱼厚切、章红鱼刺身……一道道深海珍馐发起味蕾暴击,让食客瞬间“穿越”到南海边。
